In Episode 8, I interviewed friend and fellow guide, Jon Peterson of Peterson's Guide Service of Maine. Due to COVID, this was the first interview that I've done over the phone and not in person, and needless to say the sound quality came out very good. Listeners will get to know Jon's story and learn about what his multifaceted fishing guide business has to offer. We also talked about the hot topic of social media and fly fishing in the state of Maine to try to educate people on ways to post responsibly while sharing your stories and successes about your passion of being on the water.

In episode 7, I met with John Blunt, the owner of Grant’s Kennebago Camps in Rangeley Maine. John shared his fly fishing background and talked about how he came to acquire Grant’s Camps, and provided us with some history of this historic fishing lodge. He shared some awesome fishing stories, and his passion for fly fishing, especially on Kennebago Lake is undeniable when he speaks. We also talked a little grouse hunting, which is another passion that John and I both share.

In Episode 6 of the Maine Fly Fishing Podcast, I met with James Browne at Eldredge Brothers Fly Shop in Cape Neddick, ME to discuss life as Maine striper fly fishing guide. James is well known for his massive stripers that he brings to hand on the fly as a shore angler, and has a reputation of being the best striper wading guide in Maine. He talks about some striper techniques and shares some great stories. James is as passionate as anyone in Maine about the striper population and he discusses his thoughts on how to make striper fishing more sustainable along the east coast.
